I am on a roll creating new kids wall maps for art licensing. I have a new art licensing agent and already they have licensed out my kids wall maps to an online wall art producer. POD - print on demand is a huge business, mainly in the States.  It is an area of art licensing I am eager to get into. 

I have rejigged my world map, illustrating it with more neutral colours, I hope making it more main stream.  I am now reworking my illustrated wall map of America and then will move onto more states and cities. Lots of work to be done!

Above is my new kids world map and below is my original world map.  I like both and really enjoyed illustrating them.

 Art Licensing - by Irish children's illustrator Carla Daly. I am busy creating new art for art licensing. I really love the idea of my artwork being used on more products. I already produce a range of baby gifts and Christening gifts which I sell from my online store Gifts4baby.ie I have worked on many images over the years and would love to see them used for different products for kids.

I have about to sign with a new agent in the USA and have separataly been asked to produce some images of american states for a buyer in America.

Exciting times! Busy times! But I love it. I have reworked my California image and am reworking Florida, New York and Texas. 

​When I produce my maps for my online shop Gifts4baby.ie  I create image packed with  educational information. Creating these images for art licensing, I had to simplify the image, make the icons larger. I suppose it is more decorative. I really like it though. It makes me think differently about my work.
